Purpose

The Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue promotes and regulates the relationships of the Catholic Church with members and groups of other religions. Its mission is to foster mutual understanding, respect, and collaboration between religions to contribute to peace and development in the world.

Main activities

• Organizing interreligious meetings and dialogues
• Publishing documents and studies on interreligious dialogue
• Promoting the formation and training of those engaged in interreligious dialogue
• Collaborating with other Dicasteries of the Roman Curia
• Fostering relations with international organizations
